Student Athlete

As one of the Student Athletes in our Esports Program here at The University of Texas at Dallas, I am able to represent the school through a game I enjoy playing. I have been part of the program since Fall 2019 and I just love the fact of being part of a community, who are all passonate about playing the game that they love, and a team that works towards a common goal. What I love about the Esports Program and our community at UTD is that we have different teams and student staff positions for all the games UTD sponsors. Our Esports program launched August 20th, 2018 and is the 14th athletic team to be added to the Athletic Department at UT Dallas. Our program was created to reach the huge audience of gamers at UT Dallas and to dive into the quickly-expanding esports industry. We currently feature varsity teams for Overwatch, League of Legends, Rocket League and Smash Ultimate.
